For those with horses that crib, this is for you!
Tack trunks. Every equestrian needs one for all the 'stuff' we accumulate. Tack, treats, brushes & other grooming supplies, clippers, first aid kits (cause we all know horses are quite accident prone), duct tape, vet wrap, Epsom salts, hoof hardeners, crops, gloves and the list could go on and on....and on.
After much deliberation and online research, we purchased the standard trunk from Sawhorse Tack Trunks unstained and without any hardware to truly make it a customized trunk. Here's how we did it!
Ever been looking for that one brush you love to use while grooming, either in your tack trunk or barn's tack-up area and it appears to have just grown legs and walked away? Well, one adult amateur-owned company has made this headache a thing of the past. Read more about Wellesly Equestrian and the workhorse 'Every Day' Brush.
Wow is a JC-registered, race trained Thoroughbred who ran in one race; which is why he is now a show hunter. Anyway, race training can be tough on a horse's body and at only seven years old he has shown some hock soreness and discomfort. Consulting with a veterinarian after a lameness exam, we decided not to begin hock injections due to his age. Being a certified equine massage therapist, I decided to look for alternative methods to help ease any discomfort he may have and prevent further injury.
The Plaid Horse has a special place in my heart because it's the first advertising placement for AdultAmmyStrong. So when I was approached to do a review of some of TPH's apparel, I was thrilled to do so.
Equestrians can have a love-hate relationship with grooming. We love a clean, shiny, dapply coat, but hate when we bring our horse in from the paddock and they’re caked in mud.
I’ve recently found a product that helps make grooming a bit easier and I think more comfortable.
Grooming Hands is a anti-static glove for horses and other pets and has massage points on the fingers to scrub the body, loosen dirt, or for bathing.
It's widely known how AHH-MAZING the customer service is at SmartPak.
If you've ordered anything from their quality selection of products and for whatever reason it didn't work out or you had questions, you can attest to the amazingness of the SmartPak employees.
If you've never ordered from them -- you're missing out! -- but I'm sure you've heard your barn friends talk, tweet and post rave reviews.
However, a recent interaction with the SmartPak team went above and beyond anything I could have expected.
