Olivia began riding competitively in the hunter/eq ring throughout middle and high school, but took a break from the barn for several years to pursue her degree in Biological Engineering from Cornell University. She moved to northern Virginia and began working for a small consulting company after graduating in 2013. Deciding that five years out of the saddle was too long, Olivia found a local barn and signed up for weekly lessons. She casually re-entered the show ring in early 2015, eventually moving over to the jumper ring and pursuing more A-circuit shows. Realizing that all of her spare time and money was going towards riding, she finally admitted that this wasn’t a casual hobby and bought her gelding To Be Frank (Frankie) in March 2016. Olivia and Frankie currently compete in the 1.10 High Adult Amateur Jumpers all over Zone 3 more often than her budget strictly allows. Frankie loves scratches and rolling in the mud, Olivia loves wineries and crossword puzzles, and together they love exploring new places and making new friends.
