Abby started riding at the age of two in Woodside, California. In 1992, Abby got a taste for competition in Lead Line at the Menlo Charity Horse Show in Menlo Park, California.
At the age of 12 she graduated from ponies to horses, but never showed in the rated pony division. With her first horse, Sagamore, she began competing in the short stirrup division, moving up to the Children’s Hunter division just for Menlo. Abby attended boarding school in Hardwick, Massachusetts, and rode during the summer.  During the summers home from school, Abby was a working student for her trainer. In the summer of 2006, Abby moved to Cindy Brooks and Northern Run. While riding with Cindy, Abby began consistently competing on the A circuit in Northern California. In early 2010, Abby was admitted to Savannah College of Art and Design, where she majored in Equestrian Studies. Later that year, she was named Best Adult Rider at the Menlo Charity Horse Show.  After spending two and a half years at SCAD, Abby decided to make the move back to California to train with Elvenstar and Jim Hagman. She has been riding with Jim for four years.

Abby currently shows in the Adult Amateur Hunters 18-35 with her horse, Gavroche, and Adult Equitation with her horse, Cantuccini.
